My career began with a full-time volunteering placement, while awaiting my A Level exam results. Working for a charity who were supporting young people in transition from a life in care, into independent living; I gained a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience that prepared me for my next role with the Local Authority. In the years that followed, I became specialised in Housing Support, promoting Sexual Health and providing information outreach services to young people aged 11 - 25. I was responsible for planning and delivering presentation talks in schools and to professional teams, organising and running awareness events, as well as becoming the face of local media to address young people's issues.

I progressed into Project Management, continuing with informal education programmes for young people on drug & alcohol misuse, crime reduction and encompassing intergenerational activity. I proceeded into adult support, providing drug & alcohol rehabilitation support and then focussed on Mental Health for individuals and families, specialising in Dementia awareness. After the successful start-up of a Community Interest Company in 2016 (winning local Business Awards and a commendation for new business start-up), I relocated to Hampshire, with the aim to offer the equivalent standard of service within Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. I have led Portsmouth Dignity Network and delivered workshops, to raise awareness and standards, working towards a city of excellence.

 

I always seek opportunities to work in collaboration, to utilise my bespoke training programmes and Life Coaching, as well as providing Consultancy on community based mental health & well-being.​
