Anna Marie
A Community Support & Development Worker with a 20+ year career in Youth & Community, Education and Health; working within and alongside statutory, voluntary and charity sectors. I have gained experience of planning and delivering information, guidance and support services to adults and young people in both front-line and managerial roles.
Qualified in Youth & Community Work, Health and Social Care (Adults), Dementia Care, Health & Nutrition, Advice & Guidance and am a Mindfulness Practitioner.

I am a Dignity Champion, and lead Portsmouth Dignity Network. A Portsmouth Ambassador; working with the community for the community.​ I am passionate about inspiring potential, motivating confidence and leading change for a fulfilled life for all.
My career began with a full-time volunteering placement, while awaiting my A Level exam results. Working for a charity who were supporting young people in transition from a life in care, into independent living; I gained a wealth of knowledge, skills and experience that prepared me for my next role with the Local Authority. In the years that followed, I became specialised in Housing Support, promoting Sexual Health and providing information outreach services to young people aged 11 - 25. I was responsible for planning and delivering presentation talks in schools and to professional teams, organising and running awareness events, as well as becoming the face of local media to address young people's issues.

I progressed into Project Management, continuing with informal education programmes for young people on drug & alcohol misuse, crime reduction and encompassing intergenerational activity. I proceeded into adult support, providing rehabilitation support and then focussed on Mental Health for individuals and families.
After the successful start-up of a Community Interest Company in 2016 (winning local Business Awards in the first 6 months of running), I relocated to Hampshire, with the aim to offer the equivalent standard of service within Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. I always seek opportunities to work in collaboration, to utilise my bespoke Training programmes and Life Coaching, as well as providing Consultancy on community based mental health & well-being.​

I am the lead for Portsmouth Dignity Network and delivering training, to raise awareness and standards, working towards a city of excellence.
